Dear readers, it has been a while since I have expressed myself here on my blog but I feel compelled to do so today. The Holy Land, where the Christ was born and placed in a manger, is being ravaged with killing and hate. Thousands of innocents have been killed. Hospitals, churches, and homes are being ravaged in a place where many had never had much since World War II.
What happened to Peace on Earth and Good Will to all? There is a great need for financial aid for those who are suffering! Love and kindness need to replace the hatred that abounds in the place where Monotheism began. Jews, Christians, and Moslems all worship the same God. Where is the faith today? For centuries they all got along fabulously!
Some express it is the end of our world. Peace and kindness and love must replace the hatred. My heart cries for all the suffering children everywhere. Peace and love must take the place of all the hatred. This is the land where Christ began our faith teaching us all to love one another. All the injustices of our world’s history is now being replaced with more killing and devastation. World War I was suppose to be the war to end all wars. The war in the Holy Land needs to stop!
This Christmas Day we must look to the Christ for an end of this humanity against humanity in the land of the great religions. Look at all the injustices this world has endured such as the world wars and the Holocaust. In our own country, we know how Native Americans were treated in their own homeland. Most tribes were so wonderful to the new arrivals. To many of the new settlers, their belief was the only good Indian was a dead Indian because they wanted their land. We see the inhumanity of the treatment of African Americans in this country even years after the Civil War. Today, let us look to the Christ child for love and peace. We are all God’s children.
